Ngā hau e whā ki Tāhuna
We are a small but passionate group with members located from Wilson Bay to Alexandra. Through the teaching and practice of Mau Rakau (Māori Weaponry) our group promotes:
- Te Reo Māori (Māori language)
- Tikanga Māori (Māori customs)
- Hauora Tinana (Physical Health)
- Hauora Wairua (Spiritual Heath)
Our group is a branch (Peka) of Te Whare Tū Taua o Aotearoa, the founding base for the National School of Ancient Māori Weaponry founded by Dr Pita Sharples.
We practice every Sunday from 9am - 11am at the Arrowtown School Hall.
